VIDEO: This was the unsuccessful launch of the VT Aerospace AIAA scratch built 4xC/1xG
cluster rocket. A nice design and unique, custom lug/pad launch system that all
seemed to work well. The problem was the outboard black powder Cs all lit first,
not giving the G a chance to light (we think). Four Cs simply did not yield the
minimum 3-5x thrust needed safely propel the bird safely. Talking later, we all
think a quick 500-750mS delay between the G and C cluster ignition would solve
this problem. Sounds like problem an Arduino microcontroller would be perfect
for. Failure is always the greatest teacher. :)
