All of the Eggtimer trackers and avionics are on sale this weekend:

Not an endorsement or ad; I just saw they were on sale and we were talking about them.  It takes 3-4 hours to put each piece (receiver / transmitter) together the first time, along with a decent soldering iron, a loupe, and some patience. 

I'd show you mine, but I'm in the middle of troubleshooting my receiver  :-(
