Title: LAUNCH: Kentland TRL Launch
NRV Rocketry, Tripoli Research Launch (one day)This is a TRA  
insured research launch (TRL) that allows both commercial &  
research, low and high power motors.Setup begins at 9:00 and we start  
flying at 10:00, weather permitting.  FAA waiver is 10,000 ft AGL, but is  
safety-limited to 5,000ft AGL, a max motor total impulse of L, and max  
rocket pad weight of 30lbs. All high power flights will be   
reviewed and must be approved by by RSO(at)nrvr.org.As per Virginia Tech  
(the land owner) policy:this is NOT an open to the public launch. is  
intended for University Students and NRVR onlyAs per updates to VT  
policy "masks are not required in outdoor settings at this time"NOTE: All  
New Flier / L1 certification attempts must submit        
       a Pre-Flight Data Capture form to  
officers at nrvr.org Details & Information about this launch:This is  
a TRL, or Tripoli Research LaunchWe have all sizes launch rods and rails up  
through 1010, (advance request for 1515 and UniRail please)NEW Launch  
maximums are:New ceiling restriction of 5kft, New total (combined) max  
motor impulse of L, and New total max loaded rocket weight (on the  
pad) of 30lbsFor L motor flights, or flights over 3,000 ft  
please contact usHigh Power Vendor:  -no-vendor-High Power Launch  
fee of $10/day (volunteers $5 off, NRVR members additional $5  
off)Students fly High Power for free (donations appreciated)For  
certification flights or exams, contact the prefect through  
officers(at)nrvr.orgIndoor restroom facilities will be available when no  
high power flights in progress.Other launch site info, local hotels,  
campgrounds & amenities hereNEW Special Safety Requirement  
- Medium-High Power Pre-Approval Form:For Medium through High Power  
Flyers (F and larger motors), special RSO documentation is required if you  
meet any of the following conditions: are a non-NRVR-member, or are a  
new or student flyer,plan on doing a cert flight,plan on flying an L  
motor,are flying anything projected over 3k ft (AGL) altitude,are fling a  
research (motor) or complex (multi-stage/cluster), orare using exotic  
recovery or custom materials build (e.g. 3D printing, "weird rockets",  
etc) If you match any of the above criteria please fill out this  
pre-flight data capture review form and send to officers(at)nrvr.org before  
launch day for a pre-launch document review & flight approval. If you  
meet any of these criteria and fail to send this info ahead of launch day,  
you may experience launch delays, be required to have a more in depth tear  
down or multi-RSO inspection, or be disallowed from flying your project at  
our launch.Please monitor our website www.nrvr.org for any weather related  
changes.
