Hey Folks..

First of all.. a quick club update.. The search for a field is slow
going, but we're not giving up!.. In the mean time, there are other
places to fly in our region.  Be aware we have three rocket clubs in our
region who are regularly flying, including:

  * Tripoli NC -https://www.facebook.com/TripoliNorthCarolina
  * Valley Aerospace Team (VAST, TRA) –valleyaerospace.com
    <http://www.valleyaerospace.com/>
  * Tripoli Central Virginia (TRA) –battlepark.org
    <http://www.battlepark.org/>
  * Northern Virginia Association of Rocketry (NAR) –novaar.org
    <http://www.novaar.org/>
  * South Eastern Virginia Rocketry Assn. (SEVRA, TRA/NAR) –sevra.org
    <http://www.sevra.org/>

Some of our members regularly make road trips to these sites to fly.
Feel free to use the mail list to ask about group trips if you want to
fly somewhere..  I would love to get away to fly.. :)

*LRDS Trip:*

Me and a couple others were planning on driving up to Potters NY (8hr
road trip) to attend the big LDRS 42 launch on June 6th-9th.. They have
an 18k ceiling, and a really great field.

If you want to go but have not registered, better do so ASAP:

There are some nearby campgrounds.. and the hotel rooms are almost all
full.

/Person Note: If anyone wants to split a room & gas, I'm going up ON the
6th (fly on 7-9th) and got a two queen-bed room. I have a June 6th
check-in, June 9th check-out like 14 miles from the launch site, and
also have a big SUV with cargo space for rockets, range boxes and
luggage. Contact me if interested./

If you've never been to LDRS.. it's a real hoot..Here's a photo from a
few years back where I got my L3:
