<div class="moz-cite-prefix">Sorry we've been so quiet.. we've been
scouring google-earth looking for land for launch sites and
talking to land owners and talking to the press. In fact we had a
couple of local <a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="https://cardinalnews.org/2023/08/07/new-river-rocket-club-loses-launch-site/">news
pieces</a> that got a lot of attention. The biggest one was the
<a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="https://www.wvtf.org/news/2023-11-24/new-river-valley-rocketry-searching-for-new-launch-site">RadioIQ/NPR
piece</a> where they told the public about our needs. The NPR
guy was so excited to help out because he had been to our launches
before and wanted to make sure we survive and keep flying rockets
in and around SW VA. I even got Homer Hickam to help spread the
word:</div>

community is rallying for us.. and we have plans to talk to
another land owner with enough land to accommodate our launches.

gets some pizza, I am bringing a number of flight computers for

new potential launch sites! </div>

<div>At this meeting, we are fulfilling our TRA requirement* to
meet for our annual officer elections, but we're also using
the time to review 2023, give updates coming into 2024,
bring/show-off any rocket related stuff (after we get the
business stuff out of the way) and celebrate with pizza and
drinks! </div>

<div>The Lab will be open at 6pm for general gathering and the
official TRA officer/club elections will begin at 6:30pm
sharp. All members of the NRVR are strongly encouraged to be
involved in our annual election as a part of membership. </div>
