Hey all!

This first meeting of 2014 is open to everyone, members and the general public
alike!
Where: 1901 Innovation Dr, Blacksburg, VA 24060 (in the CRC) ‎
Map:	http://goo.gl/maps/xcngx
When: Thur, 2/13 6:30-9pm

We have asked some of our more experienced NRVR members to share their
knowledge and experience on what it takes to go from model rocketry (A-G
motors & rockets under 3.3lbs) up into high power. They'll be sharing what
you need to know and do design-wise for your first Level-1 rocket (H-I motors)
as well discuss the design details and lessons learned when going on up to
beefier Level-2 rockets (J-L motors) and on up to the really big Level-3 (M-O
motors that echo off the mountain walls!

I myself will be sharing some of the Dos and Don't Dos of HP rocketry.. and
some pictures of what happens when things go wrong! :)

We will have large static displays for the public to look at, touch and ask
questions about, as well as students and faculty from VT Aerospace on hand to
answer questions about amateur, research and professional rocketry.

This is a great event to come get a feel for this science and engineering rich
hobby as well as see where it can take you professionally.

We'll also be talking about upcoming HIGH POWER launches he have going on
right here in the NRV in 2014, and how you can get involved, or just come and
watch.
