More info about this Saturday's launch is now on the launches page:
http://nrvr.org/launches/
We also now have a map of the Sinkland launch site, a GPS accurate link, and
indicators for parking, launch pads and attendees area:
http://nrvr.org/launches/files/Sinkland-Farms-Launch-Site_map.pdf
This first launch is not fully open to the public, so please don't tell all
your friends about it /just/ yet. ;) It is being booked as a "demo launch" for
us to work out any issues with the land owner for a larger launch there in
September, and as such we need to keep this one on the smaller side; NRVR and
VT AIAA students/faculty only please. We really keep things neat and put our
best foot forward. :)
As indicated on the map, we will have low power pads (various size rods) and a
1010/1" rail pad for medium power rockets up through 3.3lbs/G motors.
We're not solid on a ceiling yet, but current estimates are launches should be
limited to <3,000ft. Should not be a problem given the class-1 weight/thrust
restrictions (no that's not a challenge... but flag us if you think you can
break it ;)
Any questions? (ask on the main nrvr list.. nrvr-launches is announcements
only)
Bob.. did I miss anything you want to mention?
Tweeks
p.s. we came up with a new logo too! :)
